a whopper

I heard the funniest story the other day on my way to work. Burger King is offering you a free whopper if you will delete 10 of your friends from myspace. WHAT?? You have to go into your site and remove 10 friends and then the fast food restaurant will send you a coupon for a free sandwich. Of course your friends will see the notice that you have removed them. Is it worth a hamburger? You can always go back in and add them back to your space but then they will know that you are really that cheap!

Adam has alot of sweet nieces on his site as a way of keepin' in touch and keepin' up to date with their lives. I don't imagine he will trade his nieces for a rotten piece of meat! Now, if it was a Big Mac......he may consider! just jokin' girls!

We found out last week that Rug Doctor really sucks. Well, not literally or else we wouldn't have a million gallons of water and solution soaking our carpet and pad. So, we returned the defective machine and tried another, which was just as bad and didn't work properly. This morning, the professionals arrived to clean the carpet....yeah- an email complaint is coming your way rug doctor! Now the berber is bright, clean, pretty and most important- Dry!

I was worried how the puppies would act with the strangers in the house and the loud machines so we set up their crates in Lacey's bedroom. I called home this afternoon to see how the carpet looked and if the puppies behaved or not.

Adam's response: "carpets look really good and the dogs were fine. Lacey took care of them in her bedroom. She read them a book!"

the party planner

I have 2 parties coming up soon in February that I need to plan and get organized. I just realized the other day how soon February will be here! Lucky for me though I love to plan parties. I love all the little details and shopping for just the right items. I enjoy finding the tablecloths and napkins to match the plates and all that good stuff. Some people really resist this type of planning but I thrive on it! I make my little lists and start surfin' the web for just the right thing. And in a matter of a few days......Voila....the nice man in the brown uniform brings a box of goodies! Of course, Lacey's birthday party is always bittersweet. My sweet little baby will soon be 4 yrs old! Her first birthday was Strawberry Shortcake, second birthday was Elmo, third birthday was all about Mickey Mouse and now..... it's all about Barbie and her friends! So, I may shed a few tears as I shop but I realize how blessed I am that she is growing and is so happy and healthy. It still amazes me sometimes that we were given this precious little girl to raise.

So, enjoy party planning, there's always a reason to celebrate!!

my store

Please....Say it isn't so...... my favorite store has filed bankruptcy and is closing its doors! Yep, Goody's is going out of business. Where will I shop? Goody's has been so good to me :) Adam will be thrilled to read this but I am disappointed. I thought I was giving them alot of business and helping their economic situation. Maybe I need to do more?

Yesterday I told you about some bad tv so today I have a great show to tell you about! Have you seen CMT Cribs? The show takes you inside the homes of celebrities and shows you everything.... their fridge, their bedroom, nurseries, music room, backyards, garages, just everything! It's an inside peek of their personal life. It's really fun to see their huge homes and all their luxuries- that they probably take for granted. I seen the homes of Ted Nugent, Brett Michaels, Jewel, Chyna, Hulk Hogan, Lee Ann Rimes, Pamela Anderson and several others. I've seen the show once or twice but last night I lucked onto a whole marathon or something! The house was quiet and I had full control of the remote. It's really rare that I can be so lazy and selfish and enjoy some tv without interruptions. I was a complete couch potato for a few hours until I finally made myself go to bed so I wouldn't be a zombie today with Lacey. I thought it was funny to see the beautiful outdoor swimming pool at Jewel's house and she mentioned that she don't keep it heated so she rarely uses it. WHAT?? She has like a bazillion dollars and she won't heat the wonderful pool in the back yard? And...the one home was like 17,000 square feet! They had rooms in their home that I've never even heard of before! Pamela Anderson has a beach house and when she bought it there wasn't a bathtub for her or the boys. So, she installed this beautiful place outdoors complete with a bathtub and lights, flowers.. yadda yadda yadda. A relaxing bath next to the ocean!

the price is wrong

Have you seen Price is Right lately? I know, I'm way behind on this subject....but, I'm not at home in the mornings at 11am so this is new to me. Drew Carey really should go back to comedy and save the game shows for someone else. The show seemed really rushed and not entertaining at all. Bob Barker was much better and I'm sure he is missed by everyone. The show just isn't quite the same now. I've always been a fan of Drew Carey's tv shows but I'd rather watch Mickey Mouse with Lacey instead of Price is Right.
