organic shmorganic
I really don't recycle. Maybe if I'm sitting at lunch and the big blue bin is staring at me, I might throw my plastic water bottle in there, maybe. I don't separate my garbage because it all goes in the same trash truck so what's the point? Do you think the garbage men sort all of it later? I have no plans to "go green" like the current trend. I don't think about saving our planet or making things better for future generations. Sorry. Maybe one day I'll care but for now it's not really a top priority in my life.
I'm not really sure what recycling has to do with organic but that was where I was headed with this thought tonight. Anyways, if you think about organic items you are probably thinking about strawberries, apples or vegetables. Did UNDERWEAR pop into your head? I'm serious, I seen Organic Underwear in the store the other day. I just stood there and giggled because I didn't understand and I still don't yet tonight. What's the difference? Are they safer? Healthier? I don't get it. We don't buy organic usually so I'm ignorant on this subject. We buy alot of fruits but I don't see the great benefits of organic. Back to the underwear. What is wrong with Hanes, Fruit of the Loom or Victoria's Secret panties? Are these brands killing me? I'm sure there is a scientific study out there somewhere on this subject and 2 percent of the population have reported itching, burning or some other kind of annoying problem with regular underwear. So, "they" will now be urging the general public that it is much better to purchase organic panties and avoid the problems. My husband thinks maybe organic means they are edible! But we won't go there. Again, we are ignorant on this subject. Feel free to enlighten me if you wish.

our weekend
The circus was awesome this past weekend! We had such a good time on our trip. I was amazed with the elephant and tiger tricks. Lacey loved all the animals, but especially the elephants. Me and Lacey both enjoyed our first trip to the big top circus! The ring master was really cool and had a great singing voice. The clown, Bello, was actually a dare devil clown and performed some cool stunts. Alot of our friends were there and everyone loved it. Adam used the camcorder and we've already watched it on tv again. I got some pretty cool photos of the tigers growling and the elephants standing on their front feet only.
If you've never been to the big circus, you must go. It really is the "greatest show on earth!"

today
Sunday is my favorite day of the week! Usually, it's the only full day I have with Adam and the three of us can spend time together. Today we spent the day with some friends and family after church. They are such a sweet, fun couple that we enjoy being around. They will soon be celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary! They live out in the country with a new little dog named Bella and a few horses. Lacey is ready to go back again. They have been really good to us and we are thankful that we know them. It's such a blessing to have close friends, family and a good church family that we can depend on.
But now, it's time to go back to work. If only every day were Sunday!
Is it the weekend again yet?

the spa
There is a wonderful place nearby that can refresh, relax and rejuvenate! It may not fix all your problems but it sure can help :) They have the nice plush comfy white robes, you know the kind that are too expensive at the store so we just keeping on walking? Mud wraps, facials, massage, manicure, pedicure, tanning and for the brave, they offer waxing and permanent cosmetics. I could probably do the eyebrows but not the eyeliner or full face. I have friends that actually have this permanent makeup and they just wake up so beautiful and have more free time each day. It never smudges or smears. Oh yeah, they also have a beautiful "gift shop" with lots of pampering items and cool gift ideas. Isn't Mother's Day fast approaching?
My name is Missy and I'm addicted to the spa.

cyberspace
Tonight I'm thinking that it seems almost everyone has a web site, blog page, my space page or maybe all of the above. Most people like to have their own little piece of this cyber world that is fun and personal. Do you realize you can find almost anyone on here? Just keep surfin', it's out there! I've done this alot the past couple months or so actually. Of course you may see things that you already know are true and it may make you sick. Sorry, had to say that. But then again it's also a fun way to keep in touch with friends or family, find old friends, make new friends, express yourself or just play around awhile.
Even my hubby has a my space account. But of course he had a specific purpose for creating this page way back when. He was trying to contact a very famous tattoo artist in order to get information about a portrait tattoo from her. Her instructions were to only contact her on my space page. But now, he can use it to talk to friends, encourage others, talk to family or share photos. I'd like to share more photos on here but usually it doesn't work! Maybe I'll try again tonight.
Anyways, have fun surfin' and come back to visit my blog once in awhile. I promise you will laugh, cry or maybe both. Enjoy :)

"It won't kill ya"
Actually it will. E-coli in the water at work is not a good thing! So we've been told not to drink the water or have any kind of contact, including to not wash our hands! It's bad enough when people leave the restroom without washing their hands but now..... they don't even have a choice and are told not to wash. It's been a long day for this germ freak! I demand hazard pay for 10 hours! As I pulled into work this morning the lot was deserted and I had many parking choices. And then it dawned on me that the majority of the staff got 2 free days off work! But those of us that are considered "essential" are expected to battle snow storms, terrorist activity and contaminated water in order to fulfill our duties. So, armed with my Aquafina and GermX hand sanitizer I went to work. Lucky me huh?
I usually drink alot of bottled water but today was the exception. I avoided the nasty restrooms at all costs. No internet today either. Too many germs from all the filfthy, unwashed hands. I couldn't even rinse my pasta bowl after lunch. Did I mention we also have mice? Yeah, they run between the desks and have a ball. But now I'm home, with nice, scrubbed clean hands and I'm much better. There is a bright side to the story though. I was at the mall today and some restaurants were closed or had signs that advised they couldn't make certain drinks due to the contaminated water. I'm thinking that's a good idea but who wants to eat their food either??? The employees couldn't wash their hands right? Anyways, one little lady had a nice big sign by her store entrance that read: "Slurpies are safe to drink!" She was making a fortune today! Slurpies Rock :)

in my defense
My dear hubby is having fun telling people about my dental visit the other day. For the record, I had 6 fillings done on 2 different teeth. One filling was really big and the other 5 were small fillings or just surface spots. It wasn't fun but I wasn't in incredible pain or anything. He has no sympathy since he has had a bazillion root canals and crowns. I think the last root canal was on Sept 11, 2001 and he endured a very long root canal while the dentist and staff watched the television as the attacks unfolded that morning. But still, not my fault. I tried to explain that my blog would bring a smile or laugh as people read my entry. It's not really exaggerated but just wrote for your enjoyment :)
I just seen a great picture on the slideshow of a beach scene. A small child looks at the daddy laying in the sand, covered from the neck down. His body is now formed in the shape of a mermaid. It's quite funny and gives me a great idea. Maybe after a trip to the beach this summer, this type of picture will land on his "my space" account!

15 yrs later
One of the greatest things about being married for 15 years is that you still can surprise each other and continue to have little "first" moments together. It's usually pretty fun or sweet and always memorable. Today would be considered an unbelievable first. If you know my husband you will find this quite amusing. If you don't know him yet, he is a handsome guy that usually wears Levi's, t-shirts and skechers.
I had a million things to do in town early this morning and was making a note of the different errands I needed to do. As I was leaving I heard my hubby ask, (get ready).....
"honey, will you pick up my dry cleaning today?"
I still giggle because that is not a normal question from him. But he did look pretty sharp for Easter services. So, I gladly picked up his clothes and placed them carefully back in the closet. I may not hear that question again for another 15 yrs!

bzzzzzzzzzzzz........
Today I had the pleasure of visiting the dentist. Not a quick, easy, nice cleaning... but actual dental work. Yeah, it sucked. Go ahead and laugh, your turn is coming! I closed my eyes as he discreetly brought the big needle close to my mouth. My heart doesn't race if I can't see the big stupid thing coming at me. I was a little nervous since it was a new dentist and "a big appointment" as he stated. I had grown fond of my old dentist, older, father-like with christian music playing in the background. I enjoyed meditating on the bible scriptures on the wall as he worked on my teeth. But this new place, is all modern and advanced, and no religious comfort to be found. So I stared at the dull ceiling as the jackhammer like tool pulsated my head. At one point, I honestly heard him ask the assistant for the "excavator" and I got a little nervous. What the heck is that? And the bands were tight, uncomfortable and annoying sticking out of my head. I could see the little screw thing sticking out of my mouth so yeah, I decided to just close my eyes again until that freakin thing was gone. He quickly learned that I was a visual person and didn't like to see all these weird things. Only 2 more appts to go!
I've enjoyed the pudding and jello today and the dull toothaches (2 teeth) that are reminders of my lovely morning. I was already late for work this morning so I decided to go to the mall. A new pair of sandals eased the discomfort and bad mood. I made it through my work day and decided to return to the mall for a little more shopping. I had to get more Aleve anyways, so why not shop a little too? I made it home 14 hours later (literally) and slipped into my robe, ready for the weekend :)
