I heard about a little girl yesterday, 10 yr old Danielle. She lives in WV and is terminally ill with cancer. She was asked what she would like to have or to do before she passes away, and her response was to receive 1,000 cards before her life was over. That simple statement just blew my mind! Out of everything she could want or do....she simply wants greeting cards to fill her mailbox! She has received 5,700 so far!!
Her family has only asked that the cards are not "get well" cards. They suggested cards like "thinking of you" or for "someone special". Here's her name and address if you'd like to make her smile:
